Холера (Cholera) is a legendary punk band from Sofia, Bulgaria which emerged in 1987. Cholera's lyrics are humorous and obscene. Their first and only album called “Scare a Child” (“Уплаши детенце”) was sensational because it was sold in yoghurt packages named “Staled Yoghurt”, the yoghurt being considered a national product consumed in Bulgaria. Among other cult punk bands like Ревю, Контрол and Хиподил, Холера became a very famous band but surprisingly stopped recording new singles in the time of its most recognized success. Some of the members participated in external projects - the band’s bass player, Kaloyan Ramodanov, was later the bass player of the band Руски синдромand Chocho took part in Виолетов Генерал. Some of the most acclaimed tracks were Аз не съм, Революция, Стоянка, etc. Band members: Anton Dimitrov “Toni” – bass and song writer, founder Sasho the Moss - drums, founder Nikolay Dobrew “Muni” - guitar Vladimir Georgiev “Vlado the Priest” – drums Aleksey Peykov “Lyoshko” – bass Nilay Lukanov – vocals Kaloyan Ramodanov – bass Pepursa Chocho Read more on Last.fm.
