コスメティックロボット (translated in English as "Cosmetic Robot") was a Japanese indie electronic idol trio, comprised of Naho Inatomi, Ayumu Shinga, and Ami Hashimoto. Cosmetic Robot's style mainly ranges within upbeat to dark electronica music, but unlike many of their contemporaries, Cosmetic Robot does not use the vocoder as frequently. With Ami being 19, Naho being 17, and Ayumu being 14, they are one of the youngest technopop groups in Japan. Self-described as "innocent robotic dancers" Cosmetic debuted in 2008 with the release of their first major label single, "シリアルナンバー99". They quickly gained underground popularity for their entertaining club and street lives, with their unique synchronized dancing style, comparable to Perfume. The members of Cosmetic Robot cite their musical influences as artists such as capsule, Pizzacato 5, and MEG. The band splitted in August 2010. Read more on Last.fm.
