シギ (SHIGI) is a female Japanese rock artist born in Saitama, Japan who debuted in 2008 with her single 証明 (Shoumei) which was used for the movie Chameleon starring Fujiwara Tatsuya (Death Note). Her 1st mini album was released 12th November 2008 and contained 6 tracks. Her 2nd single entitled 'Kagayaita' is scheduled to be released on 18th February 2009. She was bought a guitar and began to get accustomed to the instrument and was able to express her enjoyment through playing. After junior school she began to perform at various events and lives. During her high school years she participated in the BAYFM auditions and unexpectedly won. From this she encountered many new people in the music business and began to make connections.
