구남과여라이딩스텔라

조브라웅(Vocal & Guitar), 임꼭병학(Bass & Chorus) 2년 전, 인디레이블 카바레사운드는 ‘구남과여라이딩스텔라’의 두 멤버가 보내온 인상적인 데모를 실수로 분실하게 된다. 그래서 결국 두 멤버가 운영한다는 술집을 수소문해 찾아 나섰고 마침 가게 문을 닫고 해외로 떠나려던 멤버들을 찾아내어 앨범을 위한 준비 작업에 들어간다. 동시에 ‘구남과여라이딩스텔라’는 클럽과 파티 등에서의 꾸준한 공연을 통해 곡의 느낌을 가장 잘 표현할 수 있는 사운드를 찾아 간다. 이전의 일들은 제쳐두고라도 2005년부터 공공연히 악기를 싸들고 다니기 시작했다. ‘구남과여라이딩스텔라’는 밴드라기보다는 듀엣이라고 할 수 있다. 두 멤버는 20년지기 파트너로써 서로의 단점을 잘 알고 있다. 이들의 음악은 그러한 파트너쉽을 바탕으로 한다기보다는 단순히 블록맞추기식 게임처럼 하나의 형태를 만들어가는 서로의 시도이다. (2 Years ago, an indie label 'Cabaret Sound' mistakenly lost the interesting demo which the two members of '구남과여라이딩스텔라' had sent. So the company went looking for the liquor shop where two members were said to be running and found them there, finally making them prepare for the album instead of flying away from Korea as the band had initially planned. Simultaneously, '구남과여라이딩스텔라' did a lot of gigs in bars and clubs, looking for the sound which could properly express the feelings contained in the songs. Leaving behind their old works, they have been packing instruments since 2005. '구남과여라이딩스텔라' is more like a duet rather than a band. Two members are 20-year-old buddies who know each other's weaknesses.
