우주소녀

우주소녀 (Wu Ju So Nyeo; Chinese: 宇宙少女), also known as WJSN or Cosmic Girls, is a South Korean-Chinese girl group formed by Starship Entertainment and Yuehua Entertainment in 2015. The group is composed of thirteen members: SeolA, Xuan Yi, Bona, Exy, Soobin, Luda, Dawon, Eunseo, Cheng Xiao, Mei Qi, Yeoreum, Dayoung and Yeonjung (previously a member of I.O.I; introduced/added on July 11, 2016). The twelve members are separated into four subgroups for each letter in "WJSN": Wonder, Joy, Sweet, and Natural. The group debuted with the release of their first mini album Would You Like? on February 25, 2016. The music video for "MoMoMo (모모모)", which features Lee Kwang-soo, was released on February 24, while the music video for "Catch Me" was released on March 9. The group held their debut stage on on the February 25th episode of M! Countdown with "Catch Me" and "MoMoMo". On July 11, Starship Entertainment confirmed the news that I.O.I's Yeonjung will be joining the group. Yeonjung will be promoting with the group starting in August 2016, and will still fulfill all I.O.I activities to the end as originally planned. On July 1st, Starship Entertainment announced that they would be debuting a special collaboration unit between WJSN and Monsta X called YTEEN (Y틴) in order to promote as brand models for KT Phone Fare Service. The unit consists of all the members of Monsta X and WJSN's SeolA, Exy, Soobin, Eunseo, Cheng Xiao, Yeoreum, and Dayoung. On August 6, they released the music video for the single DO BETTER. On August 17, WJSN released their second mini-album THE SECRET along with the music video for title track "비밀이야 (Secret)t". The girls officially had their comeback stage on M! Countdown on August 18, performing both "비밀이야 (Secret)" and their b-side "BeBe". "Secret" ended up charting well, starting off at #7 and later moving up to #6 after three weeks of promotions. The mini-album itself was a commercial success, peaking at #6 on the Gaon Album Chart. Starship Entertainment announced an end-of-the year comeback for WJSN, but the comeback date was later pushed to January. On January 4, 2017, WJSN released their third mini-album From. 우주소녀 as well as title track "너에게 닿기를 (I Wish)". The extended play was a commercial success like it's predecessor, reaching #4 on the Gaon Album Chart, the highest WJSN had ever charted since their debut. On May 17, it was reported that WJSN would be releasing their first studio album in the summer and that their title track would be produced by famed composer team Black Eyed Pilseung. On June 7, their first studio album HAPPY MOMENT was released along with the music video for title track "Happy". On June 8, they performed "Happy" and b-side "기적 같은 아이 (Miracle)" on M! Countdown. This is the first album since debut to not include a Chinese version of the lead single. Later that summer, WJSN released a suprise summer single titled "KISS ME" on July 5 as a promotional CF for Kiss Me Cosmetics. Read more on Last.fm.
