A.Y.B. (Abnormal Yellow Band) FORCE is a trio of Japanese Break beat artists. Their only US release to date is the 2006 Lost Breaks. Lost breaks is typified by break beats and samples over jazz horns and piano. Before they were known as A.Y. B. Force they were known as DJ Lark and the Funk Messangers. For more information please see below. This entry has been edited for clairity. Unedited: They co produced has been getting known bigger. They have been credited each time they release their products. As a master-mind of chopping beats, taking drum samples and remaking them to their own sound, their name has been spread throughout the world. Their sounds have seemed to be thought as Hip Hop. It does have Hip Hop taste. Besides, it does have a sound concept enough in order to create another music jenre. As you put your ears to their past releases, EP THE BADDEST BREAKS & BEATS, FUNKY OREO 2000, BEVEL SUMMIT/JUST A LIL’ COKE, SAMPLER 01 and Sampler 02 etc…. Before they finally formed A.Y.B FORCE, two different names were on them. The first name was DJ LARK and THE FUNK MESSANGERS. They did co-produce “EP THE BADDEST BREAKS & BEATS”. The EP was released from Assign Note, their own label. The sales of the EP were beyond their expectation, remarkably developing a foundation as a beat maker. Individuals in A.Y.B FORCE are also a DJ, an efficient way to deliver people their information. Soon after the EP, they contracted to Delic Records to release 12 inch single “FUNKY OREO 2000” At that time, a decision of formation of A.Y.B was incepted. This was their second name and a short version of “ABNORMAL YELLOW BAND” As their 2nd vinyl in Delic Records, EP “BEAVAL SUMMIT /JUST A LIL’ COKE was released. The EP was sold 4000 units, which was an incredible sales record in small independent labels in Japan. In 2004, the name “A.Y.B. FORCE” was born. Since then, They have been on a set to expand their music worldwide.
