Alpha Male Tea Party are one of them bands from Liverpool that don’t sound like a band from Liverpool, playing an aggressive yet melodic breed of guitar driven math-rock which nods to the likes of Brontide, You Slut! and Tera Melos. The three piece have toured the UK with Axes (Big Scary Monsters) and have previously played with Adebisi Shank, And So I Watch You From Afar and Tubelord amongst many others. Last year saw the self-release of debut album “AMTP” and follow up EP “Real Ale and Model Rail: A Lonely Man’s Guide To Not Committing Suicide” is out now on Superstar Destroyer Records. "The most exciting band we've heard in a long time" - Front Magazine "Riffs skewed to ear-puncturing angularity? Time signatures like a bathtub hoofed down a lift shaft? Check." - KKK: Kerrang! Magazine "Math-rock as an additive-induced technicolour rampage, this five-tracker is a gaudy, often glorious burst of juddering grooves, radiant riffs splayed at all angles, and stroppy, nasal vocals caught huffing sherbet." - 7/10: Metal Hammer "It's riffy, it's mathematical, it's everything I love about music"- Alex Baker, Kerrang! Radio "hearty riffs, zany rhythms and nutty titles make up this tidy EP" - 4/5: Nuts Magazine Read more on Last.fm.
