Altar of Oblivion is an epic doom / heavy metal band from Aalborg, Denmark highly in the vein of the 80's style. Since their formation in year 2005 they have released one demo, called The Shadow Era in 2007 and a full-length album entitled Sinews of Anguish in 2009, released by Shadow Kingdom Records. The lyrical theme of this album is based around a German soldier fighting on the Eastern Front during the Second World War. In 2012 they released a EP titled Salvation.
