**Free download of "Sure Is Warm" and "Hi Not You" http://andselbyjase.bandcamp.com One day, Mother Music took a bite out of Tennessee and washed it down with a little bit of California sun. The next morning, she shat out a golden turd of And Selby Jase. ASJ play with a style all their own; with influences reaching from the beaches of California to the relaxed lifestyle of Tennessee, it is hard to pinpoint an exact style for which they play. Brandon (piano, guitar) was trained in classical piano, but not being able to haul his piano around after college, he decided to pick up guitar to keep practicing song writing. Paul (vocals, guitar), originally having played bass and electric, found a new sound with acoustic guitar and started a solo project under the name of Selby. Although friends in college, the song writing really took off when Brandon set off on a cross-country road trip by himself from California to New York in the summer of 2008. Bringing along his guitar, he stopped in Nashville to visit Paul. As an unexpected surprise, they were able to write three songs the first night together. Noticing their chemistry as musicians, they decided to pursue the possibility of making music together full time. Brandon eventually had to leave after a few days to finish his trip, but shortly after got a call from Paul saying they had a show booked. Rushing from North Carolina the next day, Brandon returned to Nashville, and they immediately wrote and recorded more songs. This eventually led to their first album, Check Ya Later. Within a month, And Selby Jase wrote and recorded an album, had their first show, and was played on Nashville radio. In 2010, they released their first studio album, Hi Not You. As the songwriting continues, they keep finding their groove together. They effortlessly combine both their styles and influences to create music that has been catching the attention of every ear exposed to the orgasmic sounds. Read more on Last.fm.
