Ann Tayler released her lateset album “Let your momma go” in september 2008. It is her fourth album and was recorded in Omnisound studios in Nashville. Ann is mostly inspired by American country music, though she cannot hide her Scandinavian roots, whether she is writing, or picking up songs from other songwriters. Her music is easy-listening country songs, with appeal to several generations of country music listeners, all over the world. Lots of her songs are fresh, up temposongs, that goes easily with linedance. Ann has been hitting several Itunes country charts throughout the last years and months, with totally 1167 appearances on Itunes, with the song Home to Louisiana. At this very moment she is at position 73(#73) in France country music chart, with the song. The song also reached a number 2 position in Italy(#2), last month, on the 25. April 2011. Since last year she has appeared on charts in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK. The song “Home to Louisiana” is also the main song on a forthcoming Dutch/Belgian movie called “Lena”, to be released in 2011. Line Dance Music is very important in this film.(Isabella Film) Other song has also done well on the international country charts. "“1-2-3"” appeared on charts in Austria, Belgium, Denmark(#9), Finland(#39), France(#35), Italy(#10), Luxembourg, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland(#30), UK(#37). "“Let your momma go"” has 819 appearances on the Itunes Country music charts. The song has appeared on charts in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France(#6), Germany, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway(#26), Spain(#36), Sweden, Switzerland(#33). And the list goes on. Ann's musical strength lies in her voice capacity, as well as her sense of “sing along” melodies. She has developed a country style, that is mostly her own. Ann was born in the exotic Lofoten, in north of Norway, in april 1967. She started singing 9 years old, and jouned different bands throughout her heyday of youth. Her career as a recording artist started in 2002, with the release of her first album, “Come on”. (Piraya Music). The album was a hit, and went gold. Lots of the songs were inspired by her first trip to Nashville in 2001. In the summer of 2002, when she did a tour in Norway, as a support act for Tanya Tucker, who was the headliner. Ann Tayler is one of Scandinavia's best-selling countryartists. She has participated in several major TV productions in Norway. She has several times been on the Norwegian top 40 charts, along with country radio charts. Her international breakthrough is though very nearby. Thanks to internet services like Youtube, Itunes and Spotify, her music is available to all the world, and there is a hole new market about to open up for her.
