Answer42 is an italian / dutch electronic music production trio formed by Wim Broersma, Ilich Molin & Francesco D'Este. Spawned back in 2006 as X-Tence, the team has been developing its own distinctive flavour and sound, releasing few singles and remixes also as Mooka. The band was eventually supported by some of the leading dj's of the current EDM top scene. In 2009 they started a new project with Anjunadeep (Above & Beyond's melodic house label). Since then, their work have been supported by a noticeable number of well known international djs like: Above & Beyond, Roger Shah, James Grant, Andrea Mazza (m2o), Andrew Bennet (Armada), Flash Brothers, Oliver Smith (Anjunabeats), Ernest & Bastian, Marcus Shossow, Miss Nine (Armada), Matt Darey, Dave Pearce (BBC6), Markus Schulz, Mat Zo, Gareth Emery, Super8 & Tab, Daniel Kandi, Lange, Andy Moor and Judge Jule. They are currently hosting their monthly radio show "The Monthly Answer" at pure.fm. Wim Broersma started out in the early 90’s with the release of a whole series of Hardcore 12 inch vinyl records. Many of these songs were on numerous compilation CDs that were sold worldwide. With new releases constantly coming up as Digital Art and in multiple successful projects Wim recently released tracks for :Xing Records, Kult Records, Royal Tec Records, Sonic Flavours, Emotive Sounds,Young NRG Records, Andromeda Records USA and more. Francesco and Ilich got involved in playing with music around 1998. Their first approach with music was in extreme Metal bands such as: Occasus, 737, Warmonger. In the meanwhile, they were constantly using electronic gear as a support for their musical experimentation. Finally they started to produce their first simple tracks using some old midi sequencers. After a while, having spent years producing weird ambient and crappy dance stuff, they turned the production to the next level, starting to sign and release trance and progressive music. through labels like Emotive Sounds, Starllight, Kult, Thrive.
