He came, he saw, he's still conquering. In the past year Arshad Aslam has tackled and achieved success while allowing his hard work to look effortless. This Los Angeles native is a musician, dancer, actor and the owner of RADASH clothing. Arshad currently attending California State University Long Beach while remaining to balance all of his many projects. He has been featured on but not limited to shows on Nickelodeon, ABC, MTV and Showtime. However, he's not done just yet. Arshad has tackled the three most eccentric industries and is in the process of creating an entertainment empire proving to be an entrepreneur in every sense of the word. At the age of 11 Arshad began dancing, a leisure pursuit he would continue into his high school years. He started dancing at the Millennium Dance Complex in North Hollywood under the instruction of Shane Sparks (MTV's America's Best Dance Crew's Judge.) Arshad clearly had a natural talent for dancing and learned at a fast pace, advancing to the master class where he learned under the training of Wade Robson (choreographer of NSYNC and Britney Spears.) In July 2007 Arshad discovered his second calling, acting. Arshad's headshots did not take long to receive recognition as that same week he received nine calls from various agencies and started scheduling appointments and going on auditions. “Within the second day of scheduling I got a call from Gwen Davis of Angel City Talent. She said 'Hey guess what I have an audition for you,'” said Arshad “and I said 'What? How do you have an audition for me, I haven't even signed with you guys, I haven't even met you' and she just said 'Well I have an audition for you.'” Arshad's first booking was a reoccurring role on Nickelodeon's Zoey 101. Within a period of two weeks Arshad had faced a whirlwind of auditions and was thriving in every aspect of his professional endeavors. “I really believe if something is supposed to be for you, it will be for you, it's just supposed to happen,” says Arshad. In fall of 2008 Arshad had a reoccurring role on ABC's Samantha Who? A couple months later he booked his first movie, Danny Roth's Foreign Exchange. Arshad remembers the experience fondly. “That was an amazing experience. I made some of my best friends from that movie.” In March 2009, Arshad teamed up with Chicago's Tom Schleiter of the band Powerspace to record for the first time. "I'm really excited because I'm so into music and the production aspect; I can sit in front of a computer and make tracks for hours". Arshad's work ethic and dedication are obvious and will present itself when his EP debuts later this summer. “I don't want to be someone who doesn't put any work in. I don't want everything to be laid out for me. I want to come in and write; I want to produce. I want to be involved in everything.” Arshad's clothing line, RADASH, launched its first line in August 2008 and rapidly gained stature from some of today's most talented bands including The Academy Is…, Cobra Starship and We the Kings. Again, Arshad handles the business single handedly; controlling the design process, production process and shipping process. A perfectionist to the core, all his products (including his music, movies and television shows) are guaranteed to provide quality. All can expect the best when the name Arshad Aslam is attached. RADASH's new line will be out this spring. Everyone get ready to get their RAD on! For having already accomplished so much this is only the beginning of Arshad's entrepreneurial endeavors. Get ready world. For Arshad is more than equipped. “I Don't Stop. Ever.” Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
