Automatic Baby is the label given to the one time collaboration of U2 an R.E.M., more precisely Larry Mullen Jr. and Adam Clayton of the former and Mike Mills and Michael Stipe of the latter. The name of their collaboration was derived from the then-current albums of the two groups: Achtung Baby and Automatic For The People. The supergroup performed only once, on a MTV celebration party for the inauguration of US president Bill Clinton, on January 20th 1993. The only song they performed was One. Read more on Last.fm.
