Bars & Hooks reining from the legendary projects of Queensbridge is the next legends to come from out of these projects. You cant have a session without mentioning their names, so get very used to hearing of the name. They got inspired from all the legends doing there thing from there projects. They have worked with everyone from Queesbridge Nas, Capone & Noreaga, Tragedy, and MC Shan. Cormega and Mr. Beats were very influential in them getting on. Mr. Beats gave Prodigy the B&H demo and from there they where on. There first taste of success was on the HNIC album the song called Diamond. After being on the HNIC album they were on a bunch of mixtapes around the world. They toured with Mobb Deep and became members of Infamous Records. Being that Prodigy wasnt getting what he wanted financially with Mobb Deep he wanted to protect Bars & Hooks and find them a good deal. Many people where trying to sign them from Un (Untertainment) to Mike Tyson, to Ice T. This process took very long for everyone involved. The deals never went through because of business decisions. After Loud Records went under B&H album was handed back to them. Shortly after this Bars & Hooks went on there own path at the advice of Prodigy. They signed a deal with an independent company for 18 months called Done Did It Entertainment. After being with Done Did It Entertainment for a while they left and sought to do things themselves. Things turned around for them after meeting DJ Phantom. DJ Phantom introduced them to LaMarck the VP of A&R for Uprising Records in Los Angeles. When LaMarck heard their song Reality Check he wanted to sign them immediately and sought them out for a deal. After a few months of negotiating they signed with Uprising Records. The album is said to be one of the next classic albums from out of Queensbridge. The latest album has production from Just Blaze, Irv Gotti, Alchemist, Havoc, Now & Laters, and Jimi Kendrix. Guest appearances on the album include Remy Martin, Nas, Jungle, and JR Writer. http://www.myspace.com/barsnhooksonline Read more on Last.fm.
