Beanpole is the name of two bands: 1) Verna Brock's solo work from the 1990s, including the songs: * I'd Know You Anywhere * Now I know * Destination 2) The Memphis alternative band described below: From the Beanpole Myspace page: Beanpole was created in the summer of 1992 in a two-car garage in Memphis, Tennessee. Wes Mims, Barry Spicer, and Ryan Paule began writing bits and pieces of songs that years later would become the contents of their debut album "Jelly Filled" and their sophomore release titled "Oba Na Men". For those unfamiliar with the band, which has been a presence on the local music scene for several years, they play pretty straightforward, mainstream rock with occasional roots flourishes.
