Originally from the United States, Benevolent Demise was formed in 2008 by Eric James, who writes and composes the music in the band. Eric and Benevolent Demise decided to create heavy metal music influenced from all types of genres and artists in order to create a unique sound. For a while, Eric was solo on his work until about a year later when his sister, Rachel, entered the group as the lead vocalist. The band also covers old video game songs through the style of Benevolent Demise's "melodic metal" style and has released an album entitled "Video Game Metal Volume 1" avaliable for download on last.fm. Benevolent Demise also plans on releasing an album of original music sometime in late 2009 or early 2010. Read more on Last.fm.
