Best Kissers in the World are a Portland-based rock quartet featuring Gerald Collier (lead vocals, guitar), Mark Kent (lead guitar, vocals), Andy Nelsen (bass, vocals), and Kevin Byers (drums). The band re-formed in 2010 after a long hiatus with a combination of old and new members. Best Kissers in the World originally formed in Arizona and moved to Seattle where they released a self-titled EP through Sub Pop in 1991 before inking a deal with MCA. Two albums were then issued in 1993, Puddin' and the band's debut full-length, Been There. The latter record spawned the single "Miss Teen U.S.A.," which found success on college radio. A follow-up MCA full-length release entitled "Goodbye Yellow Brick Roadkill" was never released when the band was dropped during the Universal acquisition of MCA. Best Kissers in the World temporarily disbanded in 1995 after the Universal/MCA shakeup and Collier went on to release albums under his own name. 15 years later, Collier re-formed the band, which is now actively writing and touring. The current set list features tracks from the unreleased MCA album Goodbye Yellow Brick Roadkill, Been There, the Puddin' EP, and new material that the band has written since re-forming.
