Breath And Decay is the empowerment minded electronic music of EM August. Founded during the rough and dirty summer of ’05, EM August created the project as a means to handle the songs in his heart that did not fit the mold of his previous musical efforts. Chicago bred and Chicago based, Breath And Decay carries an attitude into their efforts that is unmistakably hard and unapologetically street. After a year and a half in the studio, Breath And Decay have begun the final mixing of their debut album Still Life And Waking Dreams at NUM Studios, the heart of the Bit Riot Records production camp. With their debut record due out in the Spring of 08 on Bit Riot Records, Breath And Decay are ready to bring their powerful message to listeners everywhere. EM August might be recognized from his prior work with the Electro EBM group PTI signed to WTII Records. Having shared the stage with acts such as Nitzer Ebb, Combichrist, Die Warzau, Assemblage 23, Stromkern, DJ? Acucrack and more, EM August brings a high level of experience and energy to the Breath And Decay live show. He is backed up by one of the hottest touring keyboardists in the Chicago electronic scene, Kevin Baron. Together these two form the nucleus of the Breath And Decay live show. With their sights set on all that is soon to come, Breath And Decay are keeping a low profile, enjoying the little bit of solace left – when the lull before the storm fades and their message erupts, there may never be rest for Breath And Decay again.
