Steve, Derek, Mark and Josh have shown their impressive dedication to their music through their endurance of the 4 years since Burn The Past began in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario in 1999. They quickly rose to fame in the Sault Ste. Marie punk scene where they independently released their first full-length CD in 2000 titled 'Before You Knew Me' which was eventually renamed 'Burn The Past self-titled'. The band then managed to stay together through a 600 km move to Guelph in 2001, and cycling through no less than 5 bass players, finally teaming up with Josh Hudman in September of 2003. Desperate to commit their ideas to record again, Burn The Past teamed up with Advance Records to produce 'Surviving the Last Days of Autumn' which was released December 12th, 2003.
