“Like a Song” is Cathy’s first Solo Piano album and features fourteen tracts of original compositions that inspire a full breadth of emotion. It was quickly followed by a Christmas album, “Let There Be Joy” that received an album of the year nomination at SoloPiano.com. Music has been a part of Cathy’s life since she was a child. Her first lessons in piano came to a sudden end when the family didn’t think she was serious and sold their piano after she was repeatedly caught trying to play with her toes. In college Cathy started as both a voice and piano major but finally focused on the keyboard prompting her professor to say, “she didn’t chose the piano but decided to sing with her fingers.” As a child, she loved to experiment and play by ear. A strict college regiment was very stifling as she was required to play the classics as perfectly as the music was composed. After playing keyboards for many years in churches and worship bands she was inspired to do something different after attending a house concert featuring Philip Wesley, Joe Bongiorno, and Joseph Akins. Cathy was challenged by her husband and soul mate to transform all of the joys and tragedies of her life into melodies that provided healing, not only for her, but eventually for her many listeners. Cathy’s music is featured on Whisperings Solo Piano Radio, Enlightened Piano Radio, SoloPiano.com, Spotify, and a growing list of quality New Age and Instrumental stations. Read more on Last.fm.
