Meet the Band The Chris Cobb Band is a San Francisco based blues/rock band that proudly walks in the footsteps of the 80’s Blues Revival. If bands like The Fabulous Thunderbirds, ZZ Top, The Allman Brothers, and Stevie Ray Vaughan are your kind of blues, you will soon add The Chris Cobb Band to that list. They have released two full length records, 1995′s C.C.’s Blues and 2004′s Other Plans. Chris Cobb (Guitar and Vocals) moved to San Francisco from Orange County, CA in the mid 70′s. Over the years he has played with many Bay Area luminaries such as Stu Blank, Pamela Rose, Mitch Woods, and Mark Ford. He started fronting his own band in 1988 but also found time to play and record with E.C. Scott and then toured and recorded with Sista Monica from 2001 to 2005. Jesse Cobb (Guitar and Vocals) has been in his father’s band for over three years, and playing guitar since he was 13. His first performance was at the Delta Blues festival was in 2008 with the band Blue Horizon, led by Johnny Nitro. Since then he has played venues such as Slim’s, the Great American Music Hall, and Cafe Du Nord. His guitar influences include Duane Allman, Roy Buchanan, Jimi Hendrix and Danny Gatton. In his free time he enjoys writing, complaining, and cougars. Jackie Enx (Drums) came up through the L.A. rock circuit, sharing the stage with bands like Quiet Riot, Guns and Roses and was a founding member of Rhino Bucket. She has also played with Billy Preston, Buddy Miles, and received a double platinum record for her work with the movie Wayne’s World. Recently, she worked on the soundtrack of the award-winning movie The Wrestler, and many television and production companies like Fuse-TV, N.F.L. on Fox, and even The Bad Girls of Miami use her recorded work. Glade Rasmussen (Bass) is known for his tone; a tone you feel as much as hear. Rasmussen drives the low end with authority, the result of years of playing, recording and touring with such diverse musical talents as C.P. Krunt, Rick Reeves, Brian Buel, Target, House of Games and Lenny Kerley. In the Bay Area, Glade has played with elite band leaders like Alvon Johnson, Daniel Castro, Francis Clay and Bobby Webb. Gifted as both a musician and technician, a short list of his production and technical clients includes Joe Satriani, Bob Segar, Kenny Loggins and B.B. King. It’s Rasmussen’s unique blend of technical skill and creative artistry that forge his memorable sound. Kevin Zuffi (Keybards and Vocals) was a classical prodigy, earning a scholarship to the S.F. Conservatory of Music. At 19, he found his real passion; blues based rock n’ roll and as hard as it is to believe, Kevin has been playing with Chris ever since! (That’s nearly four decades of music and friendship). Kevin has also been a highly regarded side-man for other artists over the years, including being a member of Will Porter’s “California All-Stars” and spent the mid 80′s with the legendary Joe Louis Walker. Kevin is also a strong singer and brilliant songwriter and contributes both to the Chris Cobb Band’s sound. Read more on Last.fm.
