Cold September was a Hollywood artpunk-gothic rock band from the middle eighties. Their album "Looking Up At Them At Me" was released 1986 in Azra Records. Other than that and the lineup, little is known about this band. The album lineup consisted of Joe Barrett - Lead Vocals, Nicholas - Lead Guitar/Vocals, Watt Phelan - Drums, Donny James - Bass/Vocals and Stevie Phelps - Guitar/Vocals. With a vocal style similar to a harmonic and more lighthearted Bauhaus and a guitar sound popular amongst the early goth/deathrock Los Angeles scene, their sound is more positive than their hair suggests.
