COME AS YOU ARE (from Switzerland/Liechtenstein) was active in the late 1980s, early 1990s. They were ahead of the times! They were young! They were hot! They were before Nirvana's «Smells Like Teen Spirit»! The distinctive voice and tartly lyrics of Mr. Daniel B., the precise clockwork beats of Mr. Simply D., the bumpy overdrive bass playing of Mr. Frizzle L. and the stoned Zoom effect guitars of Mr. Jesus F. came up with an incredible wall of noise smashing the audience straight into the face. COME AS YOU ARE were the hottest shit coming out of the Rheinvalley area for years. After constalntly touring their home territory from Sargans to Gamprin, they were ready to conquer the world in 1991. No one really knows, how it finally turned out. There is just one tape left which proves their enormous impact on the masses. Under live-threatening circumstances, Mr. Roland Ehrenzeller recorded a live show at the Wohlgroth squat in Zürich Switzerland. Sound engineer: Petra Wild. Line-Up: Daniel "Daniel B." Berner - Vocals, Synthesizer Michael "Jesus F." Forster - Guitars Patrice "Simply D." Schneider - Drums Roland "Frizzle L." Lichtensteiger - Bass More info on their recently set up MySpace: http://myspace.com/comeasyouaretheband Read more on Last.fm.
