Convey’s an Alternative Progressive rock band out of Boston, MA who’s current line-up formed in the summer of 2009. When Convey began in 2003 it formed on the principles of developing accessible progressive alternative rock. With a solid line-up after the loss of their original drummer after the spring of 2009, Convey has continued to communicate their music to fans throughout New England and the world. Understandably the task at hand is no easy feat for the band, taking their music extremely seriously they’ve pushed themselves musically since the release of their album a priori in June of 2010. With an urge to release new music to the public the band plans to play throughout New England in the Winter and Spring of 2010-2011. The release of Convey’s first studio album has been a great step for the band, with current talks to release a new EP by the summer of 2011. Currently convey is busy playing out and writing new material. The album consists of music meant to catch the attention of listeners giving alternative rock a progressive twist. On lead vocals Ben Cohen pushes the envelope of alternative vocal style giving Convey definition and edge. The ambient and piercing guitar tone of Jahan Rajabi is unique to his personal use of a myriad of digital pedals giving Convey its truly unique guitar element. Driving the band is Cory Jurkiewicz on drums ordering chaos while pushing the bands heartbeat. Underneath it all bassist Adam Merki uses all tools at his disposal to add heavy crushing bass and harmony giving Conveys sound full clarity. Convey hopes to take their sound to greater heights as they progress into writing more and more music. For now they are working hard to spread the word of their first studio album to the masses and deliver killer live performances. Read more on Last.fm.
