“Crash and co. have pieced together with remarkable precision a collage of some of the most exciting elements of English pop.” The Line Of Best Fit “Fans of indie pop at it’s rawest and most danceable will find a big grin firmly planted on their faces after listening to this one.” The 405 on “Emily (hehe)” “One of the best tapes we’ve heard in ages.” NME The hyperactive and slightly warped brainchild of brothers Callum and Ewan Merrett, Crash & The Bandicoots' unique style of lo-fi alternative pop has won them fans in their local area as well as on a national scale (including BBC 6 Music's Tom Ravenscroft and Tom Robinson). Influenced by the likes of The Flaming Lips, Beck and The Cure, their ‘John Coles Park EP’ was released last October to a flurry of blog and press spanning NME, Line Of Best Fit and This Is Fake DIY. Ever since Callum (bass, vocals) and Ewan (MPC, vocals, toys) recorded their first two songs in one of their bedrooms, they have embraced this DIY ethos, recording their tracks using simple recording equipment, homemade instruments and noisy toys - despite both working in separate professional recording studios. The band is currently working on a second EP to be released in March 2013. 'John Coles Park EP’ on iTunes Official Facebook Page Bandcamp Official Twitter Page Read more on Last.fm.
