Dangers of the Sea is a folk/indie band from Copenhagen, Denmark. Initiated in 2010 by singer and songwriter Andreas Bay Estrup, who formed a band of old and new friends, all of them experienced musicians from acts like Slaraffenland, Saybia and Efterklang. Dangers of the Sea's music is heart-felt and haunting, and is inspirered by the folkrock scene of the 60's and early 70's, as well as bands like Midlake, R.E.M. and The Stone Roses. In the last year and a half, the band has been playing numerous shows in Denmark and abroad, including concerts with Megafaun (US, Dark Dark Dark (US) and Dry The River (UK). Dangers of the Sea has been recording throughout 2011, and are currently working with danish indie godfather Nikolaj Nørlund on the finishing process of their debut album.
