Dave Hillyard, is the premier saxophone player of New York City Ska/Reggae group, The Slackers. Hillyard is also previous member of the LA Traditional ska outfit, Hepcat and also has championed 3 Albums with his own improvisational Jazz/Ska/Rocksteady/Afrobeat group, Dave Hillyard and the Rocksteady 7. Dave Hillyard has most recently released a collection of reinvented JA Reggae Riddims reinvented with his own Saxaphone creations with upsetter Glen Adams, entitled "Plays Hits of Jackpot", distributed on Ska in the World (JP). Dave is also currently touring with the Slackers in promotion of their latest self-released effort, Self-Medication, available on Indication Records. *this summary does him no justice and provides very basic information..but having nothing here is much worse.
