Dion Mase

The 21 year old rapper from Rotterdam, Dion Mase, released 2 mixtapes in 2007, Wat ik Zie (translation: What I See) and Succes (translation: Succes). But it al started about 2 years ago when 2 of his songs appeared on the "Rotterdam Mixtape" those 2 songs were "Dus Wat" (transl: So What) and "Tijd is Om" (transl: Time is Over). Dion Mase: At that time I worked really hard and the people appreciated that more and more when I got better. Dion's first contact with hiphop was when he writed lyrics in the classroom, later when he recorded tracks about his vision about the streets en laid-back flow. The "Wat Ik Zie" mixtape was Dion's first soloproject. It was mixed by DJ MP and hosted by Winne and the attention was overwhelming! "Wat Ik Zie" was well received and "Wat Ik Zie 2" was already finished when suddenly there was alot of commotion. When everyone was waiting for the "Wat ik Zie 2" Dion Mase had a conflict with DJ MP and there collaboration ended. But right after that he strated on a new project called "Succes". "Succes" was released at the end of last year, Dion took alot of the proces for his account. The most important is that he continues with releasing music and on "Succes" heard the basic Dion Mase. After the Kennis is Kunstwerk Ep (transl: Knowledge is Art Work EP) with colleague-rapper RMB the next project are ready to be started with: Muziek van de bodem (transl: Music from the Basic), the most genuine record from Dion Masé up till now.
