DISTANCE IN EMBRACE has existed as a band since 2004. The four young musicans from Minden, Germany quickly gained a good reputation in the underground music scene and were often considered as an “insider tip”.On their way DISTANCE IN EMBRACE have played more than 300 shows and have always been supported by people who were – just as the band itself – standing right behind their music and their ideas. A few years ago, the band was able to convince the Indie-label HORROR BUSINESS RECORDS (distributed by NMD) to release its recordings. The perfect studio production has been handled by Alexander Dietz (Heaven Shall Burn) from the Rape Of Harmonies Studios since 2007 (“Utopia Versus Archetype” CD). The booking agency INCISION BOOKING is responsible for a fully booked show schedule. At the same time, these cooperations are not only supposed to be a close business partnership, but also a very familiar and amicable relationship. DISTANCE IN EMBRACE contrive to combine ferocity and blandless like not many other bands of the genre. They connect rage with intensive, clear vocals without ever losing their straightforwardness and originality: powerful Post-Hardcore, which does not fit into prevalent stereotypes and does not follow current trends or hypes. For the second record entitled “Utopia Versus Archetype” (Horror Business Records, 2007) the band succeeded in winning Alexander Dietz over as the producer for the album. DISTANCE IN EMBRACE proved themselves to stay true to their style without reaching dead ends but steadily developing their music and involving new ideas into their songwriting. The album did not only surprise the die-hard fans, but also convinced the press (e.g. OX, Plastic Bomb, Trust, Stardust, Legacy) with first-class ratings. The English label MSK/ Lockjaw Records released “Utopia Versus Archetype” in the United Kingdom, Japan and the USA with positive reviews as well (e.g. Alternative Nation, Subba Cultcha, etc.). Afterwards DISTANCE IN EMBRACE were again on the road to tour Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Poland, Austria and Switzerland. 2009: DISTANCE IN EMBRACE are still doing what they do best and what has been elating their fans for years: melodic riffs are mixed with brutal moshparts and elements of modern Hardcore. In May 2009 the forthcoming album “To Hell With Honesty!” will be out on Horror Business Records, distributed by NMD from Hamburg. Numerous release parties will come along with it and DISTANCE IN EMBRACE are looking forward to prove to the audience that they are clearly aware and proud of their roots! Read more on Last.fm.
