Dj Killer, known as well as Rafa Alcántara, is considerate like one of the bigger Djs and producers of Spain who has madden dance more than half world already with his productions besides he’s co-founder of Natural Productions and Natural Breaks Records. He started his musical adventure in 1987, with just only 15 years old in Andújar (Jaén), his native town, where he started to play music in lots of locals and discotheques. At the high seasons he use to moved to the Costa del Sol, his actual residence, where he worked in different fashion locals and night clubs, at that time where was starting the “Techno” movement in Andalucía. In 1991 was required for the well known group “Pacha” to be cabin manager in one of their macro-discotheques, in Ciudad Real, with capacity for 6000 people and that during 2 years was his residence place, been there very recognized for his job. It was in 1994 when he decided to inaugurate “El Punto”, in Andújar; the most legendary place of Jaen’s province history, where was the underground movement electronic cot, doing of this local the most fashion one in these years between young “jienenses” people. After that he opened another fashion local in Granada, “Morgan”. This was in 1996, with 2 partners. In this local he was practicing a residence where you could listened a more “Club music”, like House, Trip Hop or Acid Jazz, been it an avant-garde local in a very cultural city. Since 1994, he combine his job as businessman as Dj resident in his locals and at the same time he plays in different parties, festivals or discos that require his presence, being this one all most indispensable. In 1995 he became a Satisfaxion’s part till 2000 when he co-foundered Nätural, continuing with an unstoppable career till today. He has been in the best festivals cabins like: Sonar, Satisfaxion Live Dance festival, Esparrago Rock, Techno Trax Madrid, Tribal Natrion, Flash Bäck, Break Nation, Retro Al-Andalus, Glastonbury Festival (U.K.), Rocket Festival, The Glade Festival (U.K.) and much more………… adding countless discotheques and night clubs like Pacha, Oh! Marbella, Nikki Beach, Dreamers, La Coba, Ku, Palladium, Plató68, Herbal (U.K), Industrial Copera, Oh! Leon, Fata, Kadok, Caracho, La Roca, Joquer Queen, Yo, etc……… where he has shared poster with countless artists from the entire world. Dj Killer was a Breakbeat precursor in our country since 1994; witch was a new musical style at that time, and actually being the most danced one in Andalucía and part of the world. Is this style in its more developed form, “Techbreak” the one to define his sessions; because at time to talk about Break Beat, Dj Killer is all a reference of guarantee for more than 20 years behind the turntable and has published more than 30 jobs all ready between Mix, Remixes, CDs and compiles, some of them under his own label “Natural Break Records”, and others under another labels like Virgin Records, N´Mity Sound and of course Functional with ‘Acid’ being his 7th release featured on the label. Within typecast himself, this versatile Dj and Producer possess a big experience and quality with other styles like Deep House, House, Electro or Techno house, and since lots of years he bountiful in his own name Rafa Alcántara. He has produced for his label Negrita Records, and Stereo Cool, between others. He has been a resident since 1997 in the Oh! Marbella’s discotheque’s terrace at high seasons and Deep’s nights on Wednesdays and Friday’s sharing poster with the best of the American and English House, like Carl Cox, David Morales, Frankie Nuckes, Aquaviva, etc. Every time that this man acts delight us with his impeccable set and marvel us with his powerful productions. For this he’s one of our representative artists in the rest of the world. This year he will act at the well known “Glade Festival”, in U.K, a country witch he has a close relation, where specialize press like i-DJ or Dj Magazine, dedicate him more than one interview and stations like BBC (Radio One), plays and presents his novelties; having the support of many others big artists.
