Drink To Me

"One of the best Italian bands" (Rolling Stone Magazine Italy) Drink To Me are from Torino, Italy, and have been active since 2002. They've released 4 DIY EPs, 3 albums and a 7". Their official debut album (Don't Panic, Go Organic - 2008, Midfinger Records) was recorded in London and mixed by Andy Savours (Blonde Redhead, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Killers, The Horrors ++). The second one, Brazil, was released in 2010, following their signing to one of Italy's premier independent labels, UNHIP Records. Alessio Natalizia (Banjo or Freakout, Walls, Disco Drive) produced most of the tracks on the album, and also co-wrote a couple of them. The last one, titled "S", is their masterpiece. During the last years the band changed its sound, putting the rock matrix in the background, and letting the electronic side take over with kraut-minimalist repetition and rhythm sections tasting Brazil and West Africa. "S" contains an original mixture of tribalism, black music, psychedelia and a honest pop attitude. They dropped guitars and built harmonic walls of samples and synthesizers. Deep low frequenciens and interlocking beat patterns sorround a freely developing singing. 10 tracks with a strong personality. 10 trips you'll never forget. You'll love it. They've since toured all over Italy, playing about 200 shows (and celebrating their 100th concert as support for Editors in Turin).
