After one decade of power and bloom ETERNITY ∞ is taking over the reign & scepter of the POP MEETS CLASSICAL spirit and sound and lifts this idea to new heights. Originally the idea of combining POP with CLASSICAL in a special way was started by Geo in the 90ies. It became a big success in 1999 with the global hit of EVERYTHING'S GONNA BE ALRIGHT. Together with JADE VILLALON from 2000 onward it became a perfect match of song and lyrics with an especially happy sound and cute vocals. So the line of hits became longer and longer: For The Lonely (La Califfa by Ennio Morricone), Cinderella (Concert for trumpet by Georg P. Teleman), Read My Mind (Cavalleria Rusticana by P. Mascagni), Life Is Cool (Canon in D-Major by Johann Pachelbel), Liberty (Kyrie by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart), Somewhere (Ave Maria by J. S. Bach & Ch. Gounod), Hate Without Frontiers (Stabat Mater by Pergolesi), Testimony (Cradle Song by Edvard Grieg) Lacrimosa (Lacrimosa (Requiem) by W. A. Mozart) and Addicted that they wrote for the huge campaign of SUBARU's LEGACY in 2006 or the 2 cover tracks that they recorded for Square Enix' international version of the game "FINAL FANTASY X". Alone in Japan Jade and Geo sold under the artist name of SWEETBOX more than 1,250,000 albums. They have received globally many awards and accolades and have been honored by other famous artists covering their songs. After a full decade of working together from 1999 to 2009 - after so many SWEETBOX and so far 2 SOLO albums, after so many hits and live concerts, after so many remixes of their original songs, Jade & Geo wanted to go back to their roots and combine again classical themes with Jade's great voice and Geo's touching sounds, but this time they have set the standards much higher: A classical theme for every track! Jade: "Our focus was to write an album especially for our fans that love the classical, and romantic elements in our former albums. Our music has meant different things to people over the years, but the impact of our POP MEETS CLASSICAL tracks was always very strong. Whenever there is a change in a band or with an artist I think people get scared that they will loose what they loved about that music originally. I hope that this album puts some of these fears to rest. I know how much this type of music has meant to the fans over the years, but after Sweetbox Geo and I both needed some breathing space from the classic and some time to explore new directions with our music and with our lives. This year just seemed like the right time, and our hearts were in the right places to finally record an album that many fans have been eagerly anticipating the last two years." Everything changes, nothing stays the same but still some things are for eternity! Music is eternal, and it's power to uplift, inspire and endure is unique. Music can transport you through time, or to a place where you find yourself again. It can make a memory vivid once more in your mind, or help you endure a broken heart. Mozart, Bach, Vivaldi, Pachelbel all were able to give the world music that proves itself to be "eternally" moving and beautiful generation after generation. In their new album ETERNITY hopes to honor some of these masterpieces. Geo has studied classical music in Darmstadt in Germany in the late 80ies and started his first own studio in the early 90ies. He has ever been very connected to classical music. He likes to work by himself in the studio and plays nearly all basic instruments by himself, is doing all recordings, arrangements (that actually makes a good song a hit) and even the mastering. He likes to control the music at any time (from the first compositional idea to the final produced and mastered song or even its presentation live on stage) and only accepts influences from the artist that he is working with. So as a vocalist you better be a strong character to find your balance with him as a team. Jade is by nature rather soft/sensitive, but had to learn tough lessons already at a very young age when struggling in Los Angeles scene before her voice and songwriting talent was discovered by Alan Rich. Alan introduced Jade to Geo, and the rest is history and the future. Jade filmed her first TV commercial at 5, she then ventured onto Broadway and then onto Hollywood. She has a meaty resume in TV, including top shows Rescue 911, Touched by an Angel, Several movies of the week and a guest star spots on several music videos including TLC's "Unpretty." While acting and theatre were a great introduction to the industry, Jade wanted more, she wanted to write and sing. Read more on Last.fm.
