Earthphish

Donovan John Szypura and Andre Ledergerber have been active playing in diverse rock bands ever since their early adolescence. Spotted for their exceptional musical skills and unusual live performances, they were soon playing with renowned musicians like Matthew Ashman (Adam & The Ants, Bow Wow Wow) and Tom Fischer (Celtic Frost, Apollyon Sun). Their musical style moved easily between Punk-Rock, Pop and Cyber-Metal. In their home studio the musicians developed their own soundvision and through playing at underground events the foundation for Earthphish eventually evolved. Aleksandra Mirjana Crossans joining Earthphish completed the groups particular profile. Her sensitive, out-of-the-ordinary voice colours the dark Trip-Hop music with an even stronger hypnotic tinge, making the bands sound unusually appealing. The lyrics, mainly written by Aleksandra, easily get under the listeners skin, the surrealism and the paradoxical message of the texts puzzle and challenge at the same time. Read more on Last.fm.
