Since the release of their Kurt Ballou (Converge) produced debut EP 'The Treachery Pact' - released in '02 - Eden Maine have always been a band that dared to be different and refused to be pigeon-holed. A melting pot of ferocious metal, epic atmosphere and subtle dynamics, they have evolved into a truly unique entity. In August of 2004 Eden Maine recorded their debut album in deepest darkest Wales with producer Andrew Schneider (Keelhaul, Cave-In, The Red Chord). More atmospheric, and deeper in scope and melody, “To You The First Star” showed Eden Maine progressing in different directions from the harsh, barely constrained ferocity of their debut EP. A cohesive collection of bleak soundscapes, delicately forlorn melody and brutal noise, the album received rave reviews from all the major metal music press. Their hard working DIY ethic and has ensured Eden Maine have spent most of their time on the road, playing as many shows as they can manage. Eden Maine chose to take an indefinate hiatus in 2005.
