1- 20th century composer of light music 2- 21st century film score composer 3- singer songwriter; Brighton UK 1- Edward George White (1910–1994) was a British composer of light music whose compositions including the Runaway Rocking Horse (1946), Paris Interlude (1952), Puffin' Billy (1952) and The Telegoons (1963) became familiar as radio and television theme tunes. White was born in London, and was largely self-taught. He became a violinist in a trio and various dance bands, performing also on saxophone and clarinet. He became known as an arranger of music and, after service in the RAF during World War II, he ran a ballroom orchestra at the Grand Spa Hotel in Bristol. 2- Contemporary & film score composer for such as The Wayfarer Soundtrack Album Away from the screen, Edward has written string arrangements for the debut solo album, 'Insatiable', from Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle. He has also recorded concert works for full orchestra including 'Heaven Has Blessed This Day', and 'The Apostle & The Stormy Sea'. Other concert works include 'Blessed Is The Spot', a chorale based on the Bahá’í prayer – which premiered at Warwick Arts Centre in the New Year of 2008.
