In the Fall of 2000, five powerhouse musicians, tired of mediocre music and mundane melodies, formed to bring passion back to their Genre. In their nearly six years of brotherhood, EKOTREN has definitely seen their share of ups and downs: From the closing of nearly ALL of the venues in their town Cape Coral, to the loss of beloved band mates. Determined to succeed, Guitarist Keith Finnell, Bassist Sean Fiene, and DJ/Keyboardist Steve Chin pulled tighter with Vocalist, John Sheldon to push forward in their musical journey. In late 2005, after the coming and going of two drummers, EKOTREN finally solidified with the presence of Eric Pottle. With this edition, the group has really embraced their ever increasing songwriting ability and raw energy. Today, EKOTREN can be found in some of Florida's Greatest Rock Venues, promoting their new EP "The Tables Have Turned" in their 2006 tour.
