Eloisia was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where her father, a percussionist, taught her music when she was young. Then, she learned how to play a few chords on the guitar and sing in the church choir. At the age of 17 she started to work as a model and moved to Paris, France where she continues to sing. She did vocals for artists such as Kaoma, Alpha Blondy, Lowalva Bras, Marcello. It was at this time that Marc Collins of Nouvelle Vague recruited her as a vocalist. Eloisia has performed vocals on the following Nouvelle Vague albums: Blister in The Sun (3), Metal (3), Love Will Tear us Apart (1), Just Can't Get Enough (1). Since then, Eloisa has been featured in the project "Brazilian and Argentinian" called "Brifo Southfull " produced by Brifo (ex-member of the Gotan project). She has been invited to join the song "Frio silencio" by Jean Pierre Covini (in which she wrote the lyrics); to join the Maido project in which she sang the song "Vem ca" ; and recently she was invited by German producer/composer Meeco to participate his album "Amargo Mel" in which she sang the title track accompanied by Eddie Henderson, Ron Carter, David "Fathead" Newman, and Hubert Laws. After critical acclaim of Meeco's first album she now sings all songs of Meeco's new album "Perfume e Caricias" (scheduled to be released in 2010).
