Throat singer and moorin hoor (horse-headed fiddle) player from Ulaanbataar, Mongolia, with a cheerful sense of humour and a little bit of a flair for beatboxing every now and again. Nicknamed Epi, he comes from northern Mongolia. He arrived in 1993 in Germany and ever since he has not abandoned his musical legacy. His music explores overtone singing and shamanic throat singing accompanied by the moorin hoor, a traditional Mongolian instrument. Alumnus of the Conservatory of Ulaanbaatar, Epi became a master in the practice of musical techniques specific to the culture of his country.
