Being spoon-fed the deep grooves of original funk, soul and disco as a child by Erik’s mother & father… and drowned in 80′s electronica and early 90′s ’4 x 4 beats by his sister… Erik had no other option but to love House music the moment he began hitting up record stores. With influences from as far back as Sly and the Family Stone, to as recent as Crosstown Rebels et al, Erik’s music represents his passion in one way or another, paying homage to the sounds from the past, and inspiring his sounds of the future. Erik’s first EP; “Cosmic Girl” on HQNO & Fabø’s label, Playperview Records, has already gained a lot of attention, charting highly on Beatport (Deep House & Nu Disco) whilst being played all over the world; supported from acts such as Lula Circus, NTFO, H.O.S.H, Bubba, Dyed Soundorom, and many more, as such 2012 is set to be a huge year in Erik Christiansen’s life.
