Estrela Ruiz Leminski and Téo Ruiz are part of the new generation of the Brazilian Popular Music. Their first CD, called MÚSICA DE RUIZ, brings different styles showing the versatile profile of the duet. The poetry of the lyrics is an important aspect of these two new artists, and Estrela also has published a book of poems. Some of the songs were written with other Brazilian composers, and also contains several musicians that participated of the album. The new tendencies of the modern Brazilian Popular Music are well represented in this work. Estrela and Téo also wrote a book together, called CONTRA-INDÚSTRIA, about the music outside the Major Labels, know as Independent Music in Brazil (Indie).
