Fast Cars were formed in 1977 by Stuart Murray and his brother Steven at school in Swinton, Manchester. They played Pop-Punk, their original line up was ;Steven Murray vocals (and main songwriter) Hyden Jones on lead, Stuart on Bass and Tony Dyson on drums. After about 6 months Hyden left and Craig Hilton joined them and that is who played on the single "The Kids Just Wanna Dance". They had 2 songs put on "A Manchester Collection" LP Orbit Records. Fast Cars played up and down England between 1977 and 1980 and had quite a good following. They supported The Jam, The Buzzcocks, XTC, The Rezillos, The Chords and others. Read more on Last.fm.
