Firs is a Cincinnati duo consisting of Joey Cook (of Pomegranates) and Sophia Cunningham (of the Woodland Creatures). Joey sought out Sophia to collaborate with him for a side project, and now, a year later they have released two EPs with an LP on the way. Sophia and Joey make a fantastic musical team, indeed, with Joey's unusual voice matching beautifully with Sophia's classic female vocals all the while creating catchy, eerie, and sleepy tunes on synths and guitars. Lujo Records soon picked them up after hearing their work, having already signed Pomegranates. The two make a wonderful pair indeed and continue to make wonderful music for our ears to hear.
