Fletch Cadillac formed in the early months of 2004 by brothers Ben & Joe with long time friend and drinking buddy Dov. The threesome, from Norwich, UK, have combined the newer modern punk rock sounds and attitudes with the classic old school LA punk sound taking influence from the likes of Social Distortion and Dead Kennedys. Add this to the band's love of the 1950s Hot Rod scene, Drive in B-movies and Classic Americana dating back as far as they can remember, Fletch Cadillac have created a genre between "Horror" Punk and Psychobilly- and call it " music for driving a hot rod to hell" After their self funded debut single "TIME TO DIE" was released, Fletch Cadillac had the chance to film an accompanying music video with funding from the BBC. The video was a success, and a great inspiration, showing what can be done with a couple of cameras, a lot of hard work and a friend willing to be chased in a hot rod whilst wearing nothing but her underwear. In January 2005, Fletch Cadillac entered the studio once again to record 3 more tracks, these being "STRANGERS FOLLOW", "HEADSTONES" and "BOOGEYMAN SAID", the latter of which was penned only a couple of weeks before recording. After 72 hours, the tracks were complete, and within a week the EP was released on Powerchord Records, with the first copies being sold at a headline show in their home town. Little more than 2 weeks after this, the EP had its first airplay with "Boogeyman Said" being played on BBC Radio One's "THE LOCK UP" show. Read more on Last.fm.
