GBC - America's Kick-Ass Blues Rock Band Bassist/Producer Mick Stover was a founding member of the legendary LA Blues Rockers “BB Chung King and the Buddaheads, a band with which he toured Japan, the US, and Canada, sharing bills with Johnny Winter, Pat Travers, Great White, Robin Trower & the great BB King. Onstage he has performed with many of today’s great guitar heroes, such as Slash, Ernie Isley, CC DeVille, Dweezil Zappa, Philip Sayce & Joe Bonamassa. During his storied career, Mick made friends with countless Rock & Blues players, and when he founded his Gentlemen’s Blues Club in 2005, he invited a number of his old associates to join up. Besides ex-band-mate BB Chung King (a.k.a. Alan Mirikitani), he also recruited longtime friend “Dirty” Dave Osti, another ace guitarist/vocalist, and another dozen or so elite-class Blues Rockers. This array of formidable inner-circle musicians include keyboardist Teddy ZigZag (Guns n Roses, Alice Cooper, Slash), drummer David Raven (Iggy Pop, Keith Richards), as well as guitarists Philip Sayce (Melissa Ethridge, Jeff Healey. Uncle Kracker), Frank Simes (Don Henley, Mick Jagger, Roger Daltrey, David Lee Roth). Their 1st album, Shotgun Wedding, was released to critical acclaim and was embraced by radio audiences in Europe & North America. Bolstered by this success, Mick & GBC issued their 2007 sophomore effort, entitled Longhorn Honeymoon. Riding the wave of their booming popularity, in 2008 Mick & the boys came out with Red White and Blue!, featuring the powerful Biker-anthem, Harley Davidson® Red White and Blue. We at Music Avenue Records thought it was about time we introduced Mick Stover & his Gentlemen’s Blues Club to the rest of the world, while also helping the band to reach a greater audience in North America and Europe by offering them improved marketing and distribution. Complimenting these exciting album is a compelling and unforgettable live show. From the initial licks of the opening intro riff to the emotional climax of the inevitable encore, each Gentlemen’s Blues Club concert is a no-holds-barred celebration of Blues-Rock energy. Every time they perform, GBC makes good on their promise to put on a high-energy, jaw-dropping, take-no-prisoners performance that leaves audiences proclaiming “These Gentlemen kick ass!” Website: Gentlemen's Blues Club My Space: Gentlemen's Blues Club Read more on Last.fm.
