bedroom rock. 2001-NOW. GITE started in July 2001 as Chase Reynolds solo project. 3 or 4 albums were made...and lost. Then Rory joined the band in 2003. They made 3 or so albums also...and broke up before releasing anything. Then in 2008, Chase started the band back up by recording 3 or so new albums...which were hidden away. Finally at the end of summer 2008 he began recording Teenage Royalty and released it on the internet in January 2009. During the summer of that year, a live band was put together. After going through several lineup changes, the band became Chase Reynolds - guitar,vox, Matt Bowers - keys and synth, and Josh Henley - drums....plus a few friendzzzzzz The band released the original demo for Teenage Royalty February 24th, 2010 on CD. Faceless Sonic Boom, Weekend Recovery, Teenage Infamy, and Clean Your Room were also released on the Internet that same year. They also opened for Matt and Kim, Harlem, and Wavves and were featured as one of Stereogums bands to watch in 2010. In 2011, gite went into a friends studio and began recording their official debut featuring songs from all of their demos and with the help of Avery Gardner, Jerry Pentecost, Matt Bowers, and Bethany Reynolds, also titled TEENAGE ROYALTY. Due to various problems and time constraints, the album was finished sporadically over the course of that year. It was mixed in August of 2012 and released on September 4th on CD and as a free download.
