Gyume (Lower Tantric College) is one of the two main Tantric orders within the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism, the other being Gyuto. It was founded in Lhasa in 1440 by one of Jé Tsongkhapa's students, Sherab Senge (1383-1445). Tibetan Buddhist monks chant in a seeming monotone that is rich in overtones.
