Hanadensha is a project featuring featuring former Boredoms bassist Hira on vocals. Hanadensha's sound was first rooted in noise rock but quickly mutated into something more spaced-out, seemingly influenced by kosmische, dub and traditional music. The psychedelic era of the band began in 1995 with the release of 'Narcotic Guitar' which was more rooted in rock than the two EPs that followed it, 'Astral Pigmy Wave' and 'Acoustic Mothership'. They feature long, blissed out atmospheric pieces with seemingly infinite layers of electronics, guitar and synth. Their last EP 'Doobie Shining Love' contains more structured material in the vein of "Narcotic Guitar" with renewed emphasis on vocals and drums.
