He started recording songs in 1999 as KRUM, but later changed styles and began rapping, as HeDLesS in 2000, his first cd "Wish you were Here" sold on MP3.com around the US and Europe, his 2nd cd "Fall" was considerably better quality, and he began to get noticed around the "horrorcore" genre, and his 3rd cd "Life Til Death" featured such artists as "Lil Dead" and "KEMICKAL" in 2001 HeDLesS started a record label called "In Da Basement Productions" aka "IDB" as you hear in some of his later songs, HeDLesS recorded a cd called "Platinum Stains" on which he tried to change styles to more mainstream rap, but failed miserably, he quit rapping for a couple of years after that an just produced other artists such as "the Unknown Criminal" "Navigator" and "The Immortal Thug" in 2003 one of his friends said he should make a country/rap song, so he did, and called it "carolina boyz" that was the first song recorded for his 2003 cd called "Westside til i'm 30" HeDLesS again did songs with people from the "Horrorcore" genre in the song "leave me alone ft nocturna darkrain" and began doing songs with other rappers as well. in 2004 HeDLesS recorded his cd "Robbin Hoodz" which he took several months recording, and gaining popularity on the "Soundclick.com" communities. doing songs with such artists as "4kast" & "DSD" HeDLesS began recording another album in 2005, but came under fire because of his usage of the "N" word in a song called "Runnin Thangs" several of the rappers he had previously collab'd with were now dissing him, and he had no choice but to retaliate, doing several diss tracks and calling the double album "Run on em/Blast on em" which was never released, due to the retirement of HeDLesS in 2005... HeDLesS changed his name to "Ivory Shadow" and made a few more songs including one called "What Would you Do" where he screamed, and then quit the rap game again, a couple of years went by, and no one heard anything from "HeDLesS" until late 2007 his 13 year old cousin Blake, who was a fan of the "Robbin Hoodz" cd wanted to start making music, and HeDLesS agreed to teach him how to make music. Doing that helped HeDLesS to regain intrest in Rapping again, and he started recording songs with "Crank it up Boyz" and again started to do his own music again. in 2008 he recorded a cd called "That White Boy" and distributed it around the town to hundreds of people for free, trying to get out there again. "That white boy" featured some Brand New artists to the "In Da Basement" family, the debut song by Mandy B called "Suck my Weiner" in late 2008 HeDLesS started recording new songs, with new equipment, a brand new studio microphone, and mixer board, and started Using Mixcraft to record instead of Acoustica Audio Mixer, this was a huge jump in quality of music for hedless. Then HeDLesS introduced "autotune" into his music when he started recording his cd entitled "Attitude Adjustment" which came out in July of 2009. HeDLesS played "Burn Fest 09" that year and met the artist known as "Jubbyfuk" a couple of weeks later they recorded a song called "Beautiful Day" which turned out to be a hit with a lot of people, HeDLesS started going towards that style known as "Crunkcore" which he had never heard of til he googled his name and found himself under that category on wikipedia, HeDLesS began recording more songs in this style, and put out a cd on Itunes, called "Outcast" more and more people started listening to it and liking it, and HeDLesS started to get noticed by bigger artists such as "Dot Dot Curve" Jayreck of DDC emailed him and said he loved "Beautiful Day" and HeDLesS said he was thinking about doing a remix of it, and asked if he wanted to get on the song, Jayreck said thats what he was gonna ask, and HeDLesS sent Jayreck the Instrumental of "Beautiful Day" Jayreck remade the beat, and sent it to Spanky of DDC, and Spanky recorded on the beat with "Cookiebreed" an artist from Germany. Spanky texted HeDLesS and, then sent HeDLesS the beat and track they recorded. then HeDLesS mixed the track they sent with the original track, and the Beautiful Day Remix was made. its on itunes now as well. HeDLesS is currently working on a new album, featuring such artists as Dot Dot Curve, JJ Demon, Big T, and More. please continue to check back for updates.. Read more on Last.fm.
