Hotel FM is a pop-rock band based in Oradea, Romania. It was started in 2005 by songwriter/producer Gabriel Baruta, who wanted to achieve a modern sound through natural instruments, powerful lyrics and an emotional voice over the classy keyboard chords and enchanting harmonies of his songs. He worked with many young, talented musicians from his area before settling with David Luke Michael Bryan (vocals) Vlady Sateanu (bass), Gabriel Dragan (drums) and playing keys himself, while doing background vocals. In 2006 Hotel FM released their first promotional CD, followed by concerts in Romanian cities and a German tour. In 2008 they participated in the "Golden Stag" International Festival with two original songs, "Feeling Down" and "Heaven's Gate". In 2010 they took part in the National Selection for Eurovision with the song "Come As One", a powerful eco/social anthem calling for unity and mutual help to save what's left of the planet. With lyrics written by Alexandra Ivan and music by Gabriel Baruta, conveying a strong message through David Bryan's unique voice, the song was first in the preselection and was considered a favorite for Oslo. After slight controversy surrounding David's participation (he is a British citizen who's lived in Romania for the last three years, but the new National Selection rules excluded foreigners), a decision was made by the jury & the composer, that the song will be performed by Hotel FM, in a new line-up consisting of five Romanian artists and David (born in Newcastle, England) as lead vocalist. The current Hotel FM line-up includes David Bryan (vocals), Gabriel Baruta (guitar and backing vocals), Vicky Sava (backing vocals and harp) and Darius Neagu (backing vocals and percussion), backed up by dancers Mihut "Levi" Lennon and Diana Marmaneanu.
