Humans Being

Humansbeing was a metal band founded in Massachusetts around 1995 by Alfonso Guarino (vocals), Greg Najarian (guitar), Steven Halligan (bass) and Dana Valatka (drums). With this lineup they recorded a 3 song demo cassette “The Human Experiment”. After adding a second guitarist, Curtis Washburn, they recorded their first cd “My Demons Disagree” released on Pressure Point Records. Some time later, guitarist Greg Najarian was replaced by David Jarvis, whom they recorded some songs with. After the departure of Jarvis, they recruited Buz McGrath of Unearth to fill in for a couple of shows, but ultimately they continued on as a four piece, recording more songs that combined with songs they recorded with Jarvis, became the second cd “Waiting For a Greater Good”, self-released by the band (with much financial help by Joseph Valatka). A few songs were recorded later on, but were never quite finished. None of these recordings could capture the energy of the live show, which at some point began to incorporate extra percussion.
